Dressed to Kill! Iconic Bond Girl Outfits

Dressed to Kill! Iconic James Bond Girl Outfits Featured

From the legendary white Bikini worn by Honey Rider in Dr No to the sharp tailoring modelled by Pussy Galore in Goldfinger to Vesper Lynd’s dramatic ball gown worn in Casino Royale, we reveal the most iconic Bond Girl outfits of the James Bond series.

The girls featured in the James Bond series come in for a lot of stick with their embracing double-entendre names, eagerness to jump into bed with Bond and their vacuous personalities, However, one thing the women need credit for it’s their canny sartorial sense and show-stopping wardrobes.

Thanks to the infographic created by the London-based marketing agency, Big Group, you can see every single iconic outfit worn by the Bond girls in one image. The infographic features 77 of the most memorable outfits from Dr No in 1962 through to Spectre in 2015.

Iconic Bond Girl Outfits

With no clear definition of what constitutes a Bond girl, there are generally three types. These can be broken down as:

You put in three girls … Girl number one is pro-Bond. She stays around roughly through the first reel of the picture. Then the enemy bumps her off, preferably in Bond’s arms. Girl number two is anti-Bond and usually, captures him, and he has to save himself by knocking her out with his sexual charm and power. She gets killed in an original (usually grisly) fashion mid-way through the film. Girl number three will survive and end the film in Bond’s embrace.”

The brand chooses a stand-out character whose clothing was significant and of note. Limited by space, Big Group has chosen outfits that were worn for the most amount of time and during the most memorable senses while ruling out the disguises and functional get-ups.

“The end result is what we like to think of as the most ‘iconic’ outfits,” Big Group said in a statement. “The ones the costume department really delivered on and the ones that have passed into the public’s collective consciousness of these much-loved films”.
